With the floor project done, we start preparing walls and ceilings, and no crown molding will be installed for this project. Years‑of dampness has left water stains, peeling old paint and hidden mold on walls and ceiling surfaces. Our workers scrape off all loose, flaking paint, sand down uneven spots, and thoroughly clean all mold‑affected areas. Damaged drywall parts are patched up and smoothed flat. All‑corner gaps between walls and ceilings are sealed directly, without adding any decorative trim pieces.

Once the surface preparation is finished, we begin the anti‑mold painting process. We first apply professional anti‑mold primer over the entire walls and ceiling. The primer locks in remaining mold spores and prevents new mildew from growing underneath the top‑coat paint. After the primer fully dries, we apply two separate coats of humidity‑resistant paint made specifically for basement spaces. This paint can stand year‑round wet weather across New Jersey. It resists bubbling, peeling and discoloration caused by underground moisture.

After wall and ceiling painting is completed, the renovation moves into its final‑stage work. From the waterproof‑treated concrete floor, new tile flooring, all the way up to fresh‑painted walls and ceilings, the whole basement space is fully renewed.
